Mr. Morty needs a place to hang his leash

FOSTER OR FOREVER home needed as soon as possible 🙏

Here’s what people are saying about Morty:

• He’s pure joy on four paws, full of love and playful energy
• Hasn’t met a toy he doesn’t love
• Loves to be near his humans but is not needy
• Enjoys walks and meeting people and dogs
• When it’s treat time, he sits and waits his turn
• No fear or aggression seen
• He plays with toys by himself but loves when humans join in
• LOVES Tug-of-war and fetch in "Morty style" (meaning he’ll chase, and the human fetches)
• Squeaky toys are his favourite; he has no mercy on them (but doesn't ingest them)
• No issues with being handled, being brushed or putting on his harness
• Not destructive in the house
• Housetrained and crate trained
• No cats
• Hasn’t barked at squirrels, raccoons or the neighbours through the window
• Will curl up anywhere for naps; the floor, the couch, any dog bed (whether he fits or not) but has a favourite bed (which will come with him)
• Good in the car
• Cuddles up for tummy rubs and pats, loves to be close
• Whoever adopts this dog will be getting a wonderful pet
• He’s a good guy looking for adventure, and a chance to play and have fun
• Things to work on with Morty: pulls on leash, has youthful energy and is strong (a no-pull harness is helping); can be jumpy, needs training in general and is an "eager-to-learn" kind of guy, especially when treats are being offered!
• He’s a 2-year-old neutered male Shepherd mix who is fully vetted
• Needs a foster or forever home ASAP; current foster mom can no longer take care of him
• Email or text us ASAP if you can open your heart and home to Mr. Morty

Snips from his training consult: Morty is friendly and energetic; will make a wonderful companion for someone. He can be jumpy and mouthy, though his mouth was extremely gentle. The mouthing was 100% playful and he redirects to toys easily. He loves to play tug; he’s a strong, enthusiastic tugger and shaker. We went for an on-leash walk and worked on some basic leash training; he is very trainable. Overall, he seems like a friendly, very handsome, busy dog who needs some basic training, but he will learn fast.
