Do you know an exemplary companion who deserves to be recognized?

The Exemplary Companion category is for dogs without formal training or certification that have nonetheless distinguished themselves in some way and have made a meaningful contribution to their owners or communities. If you know a dog who fits this description, we want to hear from you!

Each year, the AKC Humane Fund pays tribute to five dedicated, hardworking dogs for making significant contributions to an individual or entire community in the following categories: Uniformed Service K-9, Exemplary Companion, Search & Rescue, Therapy & Service Dog. We're seeking YOUR nominations for the 2023 AKC Humane Fund Awards for Canine Excellence (ACE), presented by YuMOVE®
